2. Information handled by the extension

Information stored locally on your device

• Hashed form of your PIN
• Protected site rules, including built-in presets you enable and custom current-domain rules you add
• Idle timing, blur strength, language choice, and shortcut preferences

Information processed locally in memory

• Current tab URL, so Screen Veil can identify supported services or protect the current domain you choose
• Basic page state needed to display the blur overlay
• Media playback state (for example whether a video element is playing or paused) so playback can count as activity

3. What we do not collect

Screen Veil does not remotely collect, transmit, or store:

• Email content
• Document content
• AI prompts or chat history
• Form entries
• Message content
• Video or image content
• Passwords or payment details

4. How information is used

Screen Veil uses locally stored and locally processed information only to:

• Blur protected tabs when you are idle, switch away, or manually trigger quick lock
• Unlock protected tabs after local PIN verification
• Remember your settings between sessions
• Apply your chosen language and blur strength
